The European Institute of Law, Science & Technology (EILST) is an international research organization that aims to build a platform for dialogue among legal experts and scientists on issues of common interest, and promote original research and education on environment and energy, telecommunications, space, biosciences, intellectual property and social sciences etc.
EILST headquarters are based in Athens, Greece, by its constitution, but the organization was mainly functioning in Brussels, Belgium, and New York, N.Y., U.S.A.
The organization works on a completely voluntary basis and has received no funds by any source, other than donations by the members of the Board of Directors.
The EILST board of directors and members put a great value on the educational aspect of the EILST, as well as the voluntary humanitarian and environmental work of the EILST and have contributed to many projects worldwide, among others, they had led an one-year effort to assist in coping with environmental crisis management and reconstruction for a part of the devastated areas on Peloponnese, Greece, after the wild fires of August 2007.
